Originally founded in 1973 under the name of Organic Gardening & Farming Club (OGAF Club) later going under the name of Hinckley Garden Club. There was a club called Hinckley Garden Club back in the 70’s which is no longer operating.
The club enjoyed the membership of farmers and homeowners.
Since the club was formed, membership has grown to more than 40 members.
The Clubs purpose was to share farming and gardening information with its members and community. The Club maintains the gardens at the township hall, memorial garden and historical society.
Our mission today is the same – to share and gain gardening knowledge, participate in community projects, to protect our natural environment by creating backyard havens for wildlife.
We welcome all who are interested in gardening.
We meet the third or fourth Monday of each month starting in March and ending in October. We have guest speakers at our meetings, we tour member home gardens and do field trips with garden related themes.
